Sarah Ann MACKLIN

Described as the Jamie Oliver of the modelling world by Marie Claire, Sarah Ann Macklin is a Registered Nutritionist and member of the AfN (Association for Nutrition). After a dynamic and successful career in modelling, Sarah embarked on a BSc in Human Nutrition with the aim of transforming the fashion industry by educating agencies and both male and female models on the importance of eating well. Through her work in this industry, Sarah has confronted the demands of the model image, and other highly exposed roles, to create a healthy balance between mind, body and food.

As a regular contributor to Women’s Health, Esquire, Rake magazine and Harper’s Bazaar, Sarah has been publicly critical of current “low fat” dietary guidelines. She believes that these are casual in the twin epidemics of type 2 diabetes and obesity with a need for immediate attention and change. Using nutrition as a preventative measure for chronic diseases, it is Sarah’s aim to promote healthy weight management and body image. In April 2018, Sarah spoke at European Parliament with Dr Aseem Maltorha, Sir Richard Thomas (ex-royal physician to the Queen) and Hanno Pijl, professor of Diabetology since 2007, to act on the current dietary guidelines and the type 2 diabetes epidemic regarding lifestyle and nutrition titled ”Big Food and Big Pharma: Killing for Profit?”
